The Congregation of the Sisters of Saint Felix of Cantalice (Felician Sisters) recently called for a responsible end to the United States occupation of Iraq and the end to the war.  In a formal statement addressed to President Bush the congregation called for the President and the United States Congress to develop an Iraqi  Peace Conference that unites all factions of Iraqi society and that empowers the Iraqi people by creating a viable structure that supports the socioeconomic development of their society. The congregation, which numbers 2000 sisters worldwide also called on the United States government to respond compassionately to Iraqi refugees and to increase the number of Iraqi refugees accepted into the United States.  Sister Mary Barbara Ann Bosch, leader of the worldwide religious community, termed the war dehumanizing to all people and devastating to the earth.
