Museum and Archives of Mary Angela Truszkowska
Blessed Foundress of the Sisters of St. Felix of Cantalice
The Museum and Archives of Mary Angela Truszkowska are located in a building on the corner of Mikolajska and Sw. Krzyza Streets in Krakow, Poland, almost 700 feet east from the Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady (Kosciol Mariacki). Through its exhibits the Museum allows visitors to get to know the life, activities, and the spirit of Blessed Mary Angela as well as the Congregation of the Felician Sisters which she founded. The organizers of the museum have established as their goal: to protect, preserve and conserve the materials for the future as well as to help others understand the life of religious in Poland in the second half of the nineteenth century when the country, having lost it independence, was under the rule of three nations.
 

The museum and archives are situated in a building whose beginnings date back to the XIV century. The present second floor is from the XV century, and the third floor was added in the 30 ’s of the XX century.

Bricks and stone were used for the construction of the building; this can be seen on the lower floors. The building was erected on a rectangular plot 90 feet long and approximately 30 feet wide. Its utilized surface area is almost 3,000 square feet. For more than 500 years the building served as living quarters for lay people. In 1860 it was given to the Felician Sisters as a center for poor children.

The Museum of Blessed Mary Angela was established and is owned by the Congregation of the Felician Sisters. It is not subsidized by any government agency nor by any independent group. It supports itself solely from donations of the sisters and their institutions. It was organized for educational purposes, mainly for spreading the cult of Blessed Mary Angela, as well as for the spiritual enrichment of its visitors.
 
 

 

 

Muzeum i Archiwum Marii Angeli Truszkowskiej,
Błogosławionej Założycielki Zgromadzenia Sióstr Felicjanek

Muzeum i Archiwum Marii Angeli Truszkowskiej znajduje się w budynku na rogu ulic Mikołajskiej i św. Krzyża w Krakowie, około 200 metrów w kierunku wschodnim od Bazyliki Wniebowzięcia NMP (Kościoła Mariackiego). Dzięki prezentowanym w Muzeum wystawom zwiedzający mogą zapoznać się z życiem, działalnością i duchem błogosławionej Marii Angeli, jak również z dziejami  Zgromadzenia Sióstr Felicjanek, które założyła. Organizatorki muzeum postawiły sobie za cel ochranianie, zachowywanie i konserwowanie materiałów na przyszłość, a także pomoc innym w zrozumieniu życia zakonnego w drugiej połowie XIX wieku w Polsce – w kraju, który stracił wówczas swoją niepodległość i znajdował się pod rządami trzech innych narodów.

Muzeum i archiwum znajdują się w budynku, którego początki sięgają XIV wieku. Obecne drugie piętro pochodzi z XV wieku, a trzecie zostało dobudowane w latach 30-stych XX wieku.

Do budowy kamienicy wykorzystano cegłę i kamień; można je zobaczyć na niższych piętrach domu.  Budynek został wzniesiony na planie prostokąta o długości 27 m i około 9 m szerokości. Zajmuje obszar prawie 315 m². Przez ponad 500 lat służył on ludziom świeckim za mieszkanie. W 1860 roku został ofiarowany Siostrom Felicjankom z przeznaczeniem na ośrodek pomocy dzieciom ubogim.

Muzeum Błogosławionej Marii Angeli zaistniało z inspiracji Zgromadzenia Sióstr Felicjanek i jest jego własnością.  Nie jest dotowane ani przez spółkę rządową, ani też przez inną niezależną organizację. Utrzymuje się samodzielnie dzięki dotacjom sióstr i innych instytucji. Zostało zorganizowane w celach edukacyjnych, głównie w celu szerzenia kultu błogosławionej Marii Angeli, a także dla duchowego ubogacenia zwiedzających.

Museu e Arquivos de Maria Ângela Truszkowska
a Bem-aventurada Fundadora da Congregação das Irmãs Felicianas
O Museu e os Arquivos de Maria Ângela Truszkowska estão localizados em um prédio na esquina das ruas Mikolajska e Sw. Krzyza em Cracóvia, Polônia, há cerca de 210 metros a leste a Basílica da Assunção de Nossa Senhora (Kosciol Mariacki). Através de suas exposições, o museu permite aos visitantes conhecer a vida, as atividades e o espírito da Bem-Aventurada Maria Ângela, bem como da Congregação das Irmãs Felicianas, que ela fundou. Os organizadores do museu estabeleceram como seu objetivo: proteger, preservar e conservar os materiais para o futuro, bem como ajudar outros a entender a vida dos religiosos na Polônia na segunda metade do século 19, quando o país, tendo perdido sua independência, estava sob o domínio de três nações.
 
O museu e os arquivos estão localizados em um prédio cujo início nos remete ao século XIV. O atual segundo andar data do século XV, e o terceiro andar foi adicionado na década de 30 no século XX.

Tijolos e pedras foram usados na construção do prédio; pode-se ver isso nos andares inferiores. O prédio foi construído em um terreno retangular de 27 metros de profundidade por aproximadamente 9 metros de largura. Sua área útil é de cerca de 900 m2. Há mais de 500 anos o prédio serviu de dormitório para leigos. Em 1860 foi doado às Irmãs Felicianas como um centro para crianças carentes.
 
O Museu da Bem-Aventurada Maria Ângela foi estabelecido e é de propriedade da Congregação das Irmãs Felicianas. Não é subsidiado por qualquer agência governamental, ou por grupos independentes. Ele se sustenta somente através de doações das irmãs e de suas instituições. Foi organizado com fins educacionais, principalmente para propagar o culto da Bem-Aventurada Maria Ângela, e promover o enriquecimento espiritual de seus visitantes.
