Pope Leo XIV has proclaimed a Year of St. Francis from Jan. 10, 2026 through Jan. 10, 2027. “As we celebrate the 800th anniversary of St. Francis’ passing, this Jubilee year invites the faithful to be inspired by the Poverello of Assisi to be a catalyst of peace, compassion and hope in our world today,” said Cardinal Cupich. “May we continue to be guided by his profound example of charity, humility and simplicity.”
