A Busy Year for the Enfield, CT Associates

The Felician associates enjoy the company of the sisters and friars in Enfield at the noon meal each month before they have their Saturday afternoon meeting. It is an opportunity for both the sisters and associates to share news and get to know each other. COVID had changed so much in all of our lives. This past year has allowed the associates to slowly get back to their peaceful and charitable functions, such as participation in the annual preached retreat, donating hand made items for the less fortunate, donating food for the less fortunate, and participating in a Saturday snowflake Bingo with the sisters and friars. Monthly meetings enable the associates to participate in a prayer service lead by an associate and enjoy guest speakers who share ministry functions.

Following the June Renewal of Commitment, Sister Joan Marie shared the plans for the future, which include having pictures taken for the Felician Album, participating in the annual BBQ with the sisters, friars, and residents at St. Francis Residence, meeting monthly and having Felician Sisters and Franciscan Friars as guest speakers, attending Mass and retreat days.

Associates will be encouraged to invite prospective associates to the meetings. Sharing information about Blessed Mary Angela and the Felician Core Values will be the goal for the year.
