World Day Against the Death Penalty is an annual observance on October 10 that unifies the global abolitionist movement. It was first organized by the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty in 2003 to advocate for an end to capital punishment worldwide. The theme this year is “Stories for Life” highlighting how gun violence has impacted individuals, families, and communities for life.
